An administrative chief in Kenya is using Twitter to help in the fight against crime.
When residents of his village report a theft, Chief Francis Kariuki passes the details on to his thousands of followers on the social network who will then keep an eye out for the stolen property.
A countrywide following has enabled 10 stolen cars to be recovered, Chief Kariuki explained, adding that he believed even thieves follow him on Twitter.
"If I send a message out that someone has stolen something they just drop the thing and run.
